A Wedding to Remember: Unique Colorado Venues!

Nothing affects the “look” of your wedding greater than your venue, from the carpet to the lighting, the way your venue is laid out drastically alters how your wedding is going to come across to your guests! If you’re hoping to plan a wedding that is both cohesive and over the top cool, picking the proper venue can be a little daunting! After 3 years of exploring Colorado’s wedding venues, I’ve come across a few that lend themselves perfectly to specific looks! Check out some of these spectacular locations, who knows, maybe you’ll find YOUR venue! Oh, and remember to reach out to your planner for suggestions if none of these are doing the trick!

Dushanbe TeaHouse

“Completely built by hand without the use of any power tools, the Teahouse was constructed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a gift to their sister city, Boulder. It was disassembled, crated up, and sent halfway around the world to be rebuilt in Boulder as a symbol of friendship and cultural exploration. The elaborate and creative teahouse now sits as a reminder to the citizens of Boulder to value cultural diversity, global cooperation, and international friendship.”

Lamar Street Center

“Lamar Street Center says goodbye to the typical event facility.  From top to bottom this place is anything but run of the mill. Imagine 13,000 square feet of sprawling space with motorcycles on the walls, a race car hanging from the ceiling, vintage gas pumps, and retro art in the form of classic cars.  Hosting a variety of events from daytime corporate meetings to Saturday evening weddings, all guests will leave with plenty to talk about.  Lamar Street Center gives its clients the freedom to hire their own caterer giving the guest the opportunity to make their event truly original.”

St. Vrain

“All the charm of brick and wood ceiling trusses and all the sparkle of crystal chandeliers make The St Vrain's ceremony space the perfect combination of Industrial Chic details. Whether your wedding is 125 or 250, your ceremony promises to be both intimate and beautiful!”

Rembrandt Yard

“Our floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of the Flatiron mountains and downtown Boulder is the perfect backdrop for your wedding day.  The inside of our gallery is surrounded by gorgeous local artwork, and filled with light birch wood flooring.  We can host your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one beautiful and convenient location.  Our helpful, flexible, and knowledgeable staff are here to help you make your special day as unique as the love you share with your fiancé.”

Gorrono Ranch

“Gorrono Ranch is a truly unique mountain venue perched on the side of the San Juan mountain range. Named after the family that built the ranch, Gorrono was a Basque sheep herder’s farm in the 1800’s. Gorrono has multiple outdoor decks—one that is typically used as the ceremony and reception site, with the Wilson Mountain Range as its backdrop. In addition to the main lodge there are two smaller historic cabins that can be used as private bride & groom dressing rooms, gaming rooms, a venue for scotch/cigar/wine tastings, or your own cabin for private winter luncheons during the ski season. Within the main lodge there are two large dining rooms, cozy stone fireplaces and plenty of space for bands, DJ’s and dancing. Gorrono can accommodate groups up to 200 guests.”

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

“Only at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science will you find everything you need for a memorable wedding and reception.  Our stunning settings, elite catering service, and immersive experience really bring a party to life. It will be a day you'll never forget -- and neither will your guests.”

Wings Over the Rockies

“When planning your next corporate event, party or fundraising gala, offer your guests a memorable experience in Colorado’s Official Air & Space Museum—a WWII-era hangar, built in 1939, that sits in the heart of Denver’s historic Lowry neighborhood. From a casual meeting for 20 to a formal celebration with room for 3,500 guests, we have the event spaces to meet your needs. Our friendly, knowledgeable events staff will provide you with the personal attention and professional expertise to make your event an occasion to remember.”

Cherokee Ranch

“The massive doors open and you enter an architectural masterpiece echoing 1450’s Scotland. Ahead lays the Great Hall with its soaring wooden arches and intricate cut-stone walls. To the left, a quiet study filled with treasures from world journeys. To the right, an expansive terrace offering magnificent views of the Rockies. Unique in all the West, this 1920s landmark and surrounding land now serves as a vibrant venue for extraordinary entertainment, education and enjoyment.”
