I have long had a passion for celebrations, but have come a long way since my high school Halloween parties! After graduating with an art history degree, I knew I wanted to pursue a creative career and wedding planning all but fell into my lap when I got engaged to my high school sweetheart! I love the glamour that comes along with weddings, but it’s equally fun to get down and dirty (The movie The Wedding Planner really painted an inaccurate picture of the job)! ;) I love nothing more than meeting creative couples with big (the quirkier the better) ideas, and I can’t wait to join your wedding team!

I have two crazy pups named Donald & Eleanor (Donnie & Ellie), a cat named Waffles, and a tarantula named Chuck.

My favorite TV show is South Park!

I adore all things creative from baking to sewing to painting! <3

All my life I have been inspired by design, complementary spaces, celebrations and balancing aesthetics. I was always the go-to-gal when it came to planning and organizing events for friends and family, and it turned into a passion of mine! After working at a wedding venue in high school, I grew my hospitality knowledge by working in the food and beverage industry and then continued learning through an internship with Kaitlin Shea Weddings.

When I’m not getting excited about weddings, you can find me at a local coffee shop, Target, or spending time with my sister.

I love making new friends, watching movies, being creative and loving on people!

Kaitlynn Z

I grew up in Portland, Oregon and moved out to Colorado to attend The U. of Northern Colorado and study Recreation, Tourism and Hospitality. I then worked in the Sporting Events industry for a few years before planning my own wedding - and that's when everything clicked: I knew that the events and wedding industry was for me! I have always loved a good party, a creative theme, good food and spending time with the people I love. I really enjoy the creativity it takes to make these events happen from behind-the-scenes, and turning a vision into reality. As I continue to work with the KSW Team, I am so excited to use my lifelong passions for creativity, fun, and love for people to help you create the most joyful events in your life! 

A little more about me…

- I recently married my husband, Bryan, and we rescued a puppy named Lily! She is named after our favorite place to see the Autumn leaves: Lily Lake in Estes Park, Colorado! 

- I love to ski in the winter and hike in the summer, anything to get me that fresh mountain air

- A summer day at a brewery with a cold IPA, or a walk on the Oregon Coast with a coffee in-hand are some of my versions of heaven! 

Jon

Born and raised Pennsylvanian who went looking for a change and Colorado was the perfect fit! So I packed up and headed west, settling in the Highlands neighborhood of Denver! I am also an avid sports and news fan(that’s how I met the lovely Kaitlin!). I like this industry because everyday is something new and exciting. Getting to meet and work with people from all walks of life and developing a relationship with them is important to me. On a final note, clearly I like to use exclamation points and I also wear my heart on my sleeve so at the very least I will get goosebumps or shed a tear during your ceremony/toasts. Cheers!

I started my love of events in the world of high end desserts! We did weddings, bar mitzvahs, and corporate. I even got to travel to places like NYC, DJ, and Miami!

I’ve always been an advocate for celebrating anything and everything- big and small. That’s what keeps life fun, right? Yet, I never gave much thought as to how I could apply this sentiment to my career. About a year ago, I decided to take some time off to reflect and think about what I really wanted to do with my life. This break happened to coincide with planning my own wedding (from a distance, after moving to another state, and a postponement due to covid - covid and destination brides- I feel you!), and I realized how much I’d loved the process and knew I wanted to help others have a great experience too. My goal is to be your #1 advocate in making your dreams come to life, and I’m so happy to have joined the KSW team because we make magic happen!

I have 3 fur babes (two cats and a dog), Moo, Sloane and Remi!

I love writing and have a blog called Complicated Basic. My favorite movie is Crazy Stupid Love. I LOVE a good rom-com, eating yummy food, and adventuring to fun places with friends!
