Normally, this would be the part where I tell you a little bit about Jen and Dan’s story, but the amazing Jen did the work for me in her review!
“Hiring Kaitlin as our wedding planner was the best decision we made, and my favorite decision of the whole planning process. I think it is important to mention that I had no intention of hiring a wedding planner when we started planning, but our venue required it, so we started looking around. I initially chose Kaitlin because I loved her energy and she seemed to understand my vision. I am taking time to write this review because after working with her for 18 months, I truly believe she is the best at what she does, and I don’t know what we would have done without her. I am super organized and on top of things in my day to day life, but nothing could have prepared me for everything that goes into planning a wedding. You don’t just choose your vendors, pay them, pick a dress, and then magically everything comes together perfectly. There are endless smaller decisions and details I never would have considered - so much coordinating to do between vendors; random papers and contracts to review; due dates to keep track of; schedules to organize; things to buy; pros and cons to weigh with each decision. Kaitlin helped us with everything. I loved having a non-partisan person (i.e. not a bridesmaid or family member) to bounce ideas off and to provide honest opinions. This proved to be invaluable! We got engaged in December 2018, chose our wedding date – April 25, 2020 – and hired Kaitlin in February 2019. Kaitlin helped us plan a gorgeous ceremony and reception at an incredible venue. We were about 6 weeks away from our perfect day when COVID came out of nowhere and we were forced to make drastic changes. Kaitlin was a shoulder to cry on and her positive energy kept us going as we planned a 25-person “Plan B” (our house, just family and the wedding party, with a down-sized catering and rental order), and eventually a “Plan C” (our house, only immediate family in attendance, and food picked up from Denver Central Market). Everything came together beautifully. Kaitlin acted as hair stylist, photographer, DJ, and even stayed to help us clean up and do dishes at the end of the night. She was also our IT support, making sure all of our friends and family were able to get into the Zoom meeting and watch the ceremony. Kaitlin was incredible - we are so grateful for her. Best decision we made!”
Sweet notes and praises aside, it’s clear that the wedding planning process for Jen and Dan was anything but average! Despite having to move on to Plan B, and then Plan C, when wedding day was upon us we were ready to celebrate and excited to do so with a few of the couple’s most important supporters, their family and best friends! Despite coronavirus wreaking havoc on the world, the positive attitudes and excitement that these two maintained throughout 99.9% of the planning process made what could have become a very somber event one that was full of joy! Luckily our beautiful floral team (Compass Rose Floral) was still able to provide, and we swapped out our DJ, photographer, and caterer for something more quarantine friendly (a powerful bluetooth speaker, some nice cameras, and picked up food)! These two handled crisis in just the way they should, without panic and with lots of love and care! I will forever hold a special place in my heart for this celebration, and especially this couple! <3 Scroll through some of the moments we captured below!
