SURPRISE! Covid couples weren’t confined to 2020, Sarah & Cody dealt with A LOT of last minute changes during their last few weeks of planning!
Sarah & Cody’s original plan was a beautiful private ceremony at their lodge, followed by a dinner for 30 at one of Telluride’s fabulous restaurants! Unfortunately, our restaurant dreams were cut short! Silver lining? Their rental property was just about the most beautiful setting we could find, we just had to get a little creative with the flip!
S&C’s small group of about 30 took full advantage of the beautiful weekend. The wedding and now reception location doubled as lodging for many, meaning a very leisurely morning for the bride and groom! They shared the most heartwarming of first looks, right at the bottom of a ski hill (which yes, was in use that weekend)! Their sweet ceremony took place in front of the hearth, with cocktail hour downstairs so we could perform the flip.
We had great food, drinks, and dancing, but potentially the best part of the evening was the giant, and we mean GIANT bottle of champagne! We kid you not, it took 15-20 mins of trying for the group to pop that bad boy, but the champagne was plentiful after that!
We even got a few moments of Hallmark movie worthy snow during our trip to downtown Telluride, and what better way to end a wedding night than with a Harry Potter movie marathon in our hotel? Saylor and I can’t wait for the next Telluride adventure in just a few months!
Congrats Sarah & Cody, we have no doubt you’re enjoying married life and all that the world has to offer!! <3
