In 2019, the incredible Chesea Jo Photography reached out to me to see if I would want to collaborate on an elopement giveaway! Having just started my business months prior, I was so excited at the possibility of making some wedding magic happen for a lucky couple! Our 2019 giveaway was one for the books, and we loved it so much we wanted to make it an annual happening! Unfortunately, Chelsea wasn't able to join us this time around, but the incredible Kyla Fear stepped in and delivered the most gorgeous images! The lucky couple this year was Meredith & Michael - local to Hawaii and in the world of hospitality themselves! They had been together for years, but have never taken the time to celebrate themselves and the incredible love they share. We got about a dozen applicants, but Meredith & Michael's love story stood out to the whole team and we were so excited to get the change to celebrate with them.

About halfway through the planning process, Covid threw a wrench into the works. Meredith & Michael, after a few weeks of thought, decided that even though the world was on hold, their relationship wasn't going to be, so we dove back in! The two opted to rent a Boulder VRBO since dining out was no longer a great option for us! They got ready with their small group on site, Meredith had her hair and makeup done by her sister in law and incredibly talented HAMU artist Theresa, and my team started setting up! The rentals from All Events, florals from Compass Rose, and desserts from The Treatery transformed the VRBO to an elopement dream!

I doubled as the couple's officiant, and the ceremony was short but sweet with relatives and friends watching via Zoom! After Meredith & Michael said hello to their virtual guests, they were off to take some more photos before sitting down to enjoy an incredible Greenspoint plated meal and wine. The evening ended on a softer note, with Meredith & Michael mingling with guests, sharing desserts, and having some photo booth fun! By the time the sun was going down, their getaway car had arrived and the two were off to their honeymoon suite for the evening! I will forever have a special place in my heart for these elopement giveaway recipients, and a HUGE congratulations to the *finally newlyweds!!
